By persons so instructed,
acting under the seepervision of the Melter, who no doubt thoroughly emderstands the principles of Assay. -ing, the assaying business of the Mint might, I believe, be safely conducted for a few months in case of the disability of the Assayer.
If the business of the Mint proves to be large Government may find it advisable to appoint a second Assayer, but then the new Officer should be joint dssayer and hold the same position as the other.
The Office of Assayer is one of trust and character, and the Master should have it in his power

It is not unlikely that two Assayers will eventually be required at the Stong-Kong Mint, but it still appears to me that at the outset
